There is water in our basement (again) thanks to tons of rain from (another) hurricane. This time, the hurricane is not right on top of us but some of the effects of the hurricane (tons of rain) are.
We probably now have mold down there...we lost some really nice framed pictures/posters/sports memorabilia (a framed copy of my great grandparents marriage cert., a "doorways of Ireland" framed poster, a Bernie Parent hanging picture thing that is cooler than I am describing-famous Flyers goalie in case you don't know).
I don't know why these pictures never made their way from the basement to our walls in the past 5 years...I don't know why they were the ONLY items not in a protective container of some type.
The state of the basement is making me want to abandon our house...I'm not even kidding...I think it's a health hazard or at least a potential one.
Also, there is a little 5 year old girl, at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, who is fighting for her life against a horrible brain tumor. You can "like" her Facebook page "Get Well Gabby" to show support for her and her family. I am sure there are other children in the world suffering tonight.
Now, what was I saying about our basement?
