so funny- I thought you reposted the same dr visit. doh! forgot how alike the boys are. hey- any chance you can head to harrisburg on july 18th? we're having a first bday party of some sort. no presents needed! just visiting and cake :)
On your other posts (just catching up here...), those bounce places KICK A$$! LOVE them. Love. I want to have Calum's 4th bday at one of those, but the jury is still out on what birthday years are "big party" years and what years are "pick your fav dinner" years.
About your friend. Man, that is really awful and hurtful. I don't exactly understand WHY people feel the need to overtly close things. I have some friendships that have changed dramatically over the years, and I am sad about it in certain ways, but things will continue to change, right? Change happens no matter what we do to stop it. So it's certainly possible we'll come back around to some common ground someday. Why cause all that hurt and damage in the meantime?
It seems as though she is hurt and wants you to feel it as well. I don't know her, of course, but it seems very selfish what she did. I'm sorry.
Thanks for the support Erin! My friend basically made a very final decision...she hasn't been invested in our friendship for at least 2 years now so I guess a positive is that she finally showed her true feelings...I just would have appreciated verbal contact instead of a card (considering I have known her since 6th grade). Oh well! Not sure what was the last straw for her but since she didn't bother to talk it over with me, I will never know...she chose not to respond to my phone call & I am pretty certain she never will. I too have had many friendships change and evolve-but most seem to come back around to a positive place- I've never had anyone cut me off completely...there's a first time for everything, so let's just hope it is the last!
