Heart on His Sleeve

Liam is my love- I may have mentioned this a time or two before.
He has a particular sweetness that is unique to him.
Not to say that Michael and Chloe haven't each captured my heart in their own way...
but Liam is just...I don't know quite how to put it into words.
It's not a "he's my favorite" type of thing, it's something else.

I have to make this special note about what he said to me tonight.
In the chaos of our bedtime routine, I almost missed it.
I'm so thankful I tuned into him- or I might not have heard his precious words.

Most nights, we start off with all 3 kids in the same room post-bath.  Putting on pj's, looking at books, getting those last giggles out...it's always crazy but also lots of fun.  We have a little prayer that we say which is really a book called "The Thank You Prayer".
After that, each night, one of us reads to Michael and Liam while the other one settles Chloe.  The boys do well listening to stories together while Chloe still needs some individual cuddle/story time.

Anyway, we were getting ready to send the boys to their room and it was my night with Chloe.
So I was giving the boys kisses/hugs when Liam said this-
"Mommy, I'm going to hold your kisses in my hand"
and I was focused on Michael when he started talking but luckily, I looked at Liam and said something like, 'Oh I'm glad you are going to hold onto them'

And then my sweet Liam said, "Your kisses make my heart so happy"

And my heart filled up and overflowed and there were a few happy tears (mine).
Because that little boy really does make my heart so happy!

He really is a tender-hearted boy and I sure hope he stays this way!
