Robin Hood

Robin Hood Costume for Story Book Character Day

I made the vest and hat.  I'm really happy with how it turned out...I don't sew and don't own a sewing machine.  So the minimal stitching was done by hand by yours truly.
(stitching on the hat and on the vest--I'm also impressed that I actually cut a vest that fit, with arm holes, after only one practice run)

We also used pirate pants from a pirate costume from 2 years ago & a regular white shirt.

I know it's nothing spectacular but Michael was happy (eventually) and thanked me.  I highly recommend heavy felt if you have to make anything b/c you don't have to finish the edge and it's very easy/simple to work with.  And cheaper than purchasing a whole extra costume.  I also had a rotary cutter and guide from the one time that I made a quilt (I had LOTS of help and access to a sewing machine at the time).
