- Chloe and Liam have been battling the stomach bug for the past 9 days. I don't really understand what's going on. They were both some degree of sick Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday...then all was well. Then Chloe had diarrhea on Thursday/Friday. Then all was well. Then Liam got sick Saturday night. Then all was well. Then Liam refused dinner and threw up around 5:45 this evening. What the heck?? Every time I hear someone cough, I freak out.
- Our Easter was low key due to all the sickness. I managed to make it to mass with Michael, who sang with the children's choir and was so adorable!! It makes me extra sad that our parish is closing right when he is getting old enough to start participating more. Granted, we will go to another church but it's a real bummer not to be able to stay with the parish I grew up in, got married in, had all 3 kids baptized in.
- Yesterday, Liam managed to stay well long enough to ace in kindergarten testing. He is so excited to go next year!!
- Tomorrow, I get to go back to my college & be part of a program they are do each year for the seniors (I think it's done each year). They have a keynote speaker and then an alumni panel to answer questions. I signed up to be part of that panel. I'm pretty excited. I've been looking for opportunities to support my college (since I can't exactly write them a check for a large sum of money) but have never been able to make good on that intention, usually due to scheduling conflicts. But tomorrow afternoon, I will make the drive, hopefully make a quick stop to see a couple of friends who live in the area, participate in the program and then head home. I'm really looking forward to it :)
- Friday is field trip day for Michael and I am going along as one of the chaperones. Pretty stoked about this one too! We are going to see "Flat Stanley" at a local dinner theater. I think it will be a blast!
- Mike's car might be on it's last leg, er, tire. Of course, we were just making plans to replace our kitchen floor and get new front doors and a new fridge and well, ugh! First we have to see about the Explorer. It's only $900 away from being paid off so of course it's about to die :(
C'est la vie!
