This made me think twice about my recent whining about the terrible 2's and our ongoing financial strain.
I just found out that friends of ours had to terminate a pregnancy at about 22 weeks due to the baby having some rather severe cardiac problems. I don't know the specifics but I can't imagine the agony they are going through.
I just pray for them and their family and hope they are given the strength to get through this. They have a little girl, I think she is 4 years old- so this would have been their second and also a girl.
It's just so sad and it gave me instant perspective on our life. We have so much to be thankful for and sometimes in the midst of everyday life, it's easy to forget that.

Oh. That is so, so sad. I have a friend of a friend who went through the same thing earlier this year. It was their first pregnancy. My heart breaks for them. And yes, it makes you really see how blessed you are.
