M.F.M.

My First Meme

I don't even know what the heck "Meme" means but I saw this over on The Mother Load so I thought I would give it a try...

Rules: Grab the nearest book. Open the book to page 56. Find the fifth sentence. Post the text of the next two to five sentences on your blog along with these instructions. Don’t dig for your favorite book, the cool book, or the intellectual one: pick the CLOSEST. Tag five other people to do the same.

Sooo, the closest book I have that actually HAS enough pages to qualify is "Ghost Stories of Chester County and The Brandywine Valley" by Charles J. Adams III.

I put it out with the Halloween stuff. As you may have guessed, this area is close to me...which adds to the spooky-ness of the tales. Sentence 5 on page 56 picks up on a story about Eastern College-

"Thus, the 'third floor' of the building is actually the fourth level. That all plays a role in some of the reports of the hauntings of Walton Hall.
Dr. Boehlke, a scholarly historian who nonetheless seems intrigued by the ghost stories of Walton Hall, believes that when the third floor was ordered sealed and abandoned by the Fire Marshal, a mysterious breeding ground for a haunting was created.
When contacted for his thoughts about the matter, Dr. Boehlke said he could recall no mention of the stories before 1961. The genial archivist promised to look into the matter, search the archives, and share what information, if any, he might find."

Not exactly the juicy part but rules are rules...

I am not officially tagging anyone but give it a try! If you do, include a link to your post in the comments section of this post.

Positives for the day...
