I HEAR YOU on the two thing, and on the feeling cruddy about yourself as a parent thing. Nothing is worse than knowing you could do better as a mom, you know? I feel like I LIVE that feeling.
I wrote a post about 2 years ago about that same poem. My own mother used to have it hanging up in our family room. We lived in a not-exactly-clean house, but there were lots of us and I think that philosophy kept my mom from totally losing her mind.
