Figuring this out...

I am in the midst of researching my daycare options, checking prices and hope to visit some potential places in the next week. So I am taking a break from being anxious and arming myself with information so I can figure out what will work best for us. I also had to provide reference info to my potential employer which means I need to tell my current employer that she will be getting a phone call.

As I watch the latest updates on what seems to be a global economic nightmare- or at least a pending one- I am granted some perspective. I feel lucky to have this job opportunity come along...I feel like I need to give it a chance because the market is so unstable and who knows what could happen to Mike's job...I feel that if we can find a good setting for the boys and work it out so they don't have to be there 5 days a week, they will enjoy the social side and the chance to experience something new without being too overwhelmed.

It isn't my first choice to work full-time but it will help us out so much and relieve some of the stress we have been feeling. It will allow me to pay bills without having to use what I call "creative finance"-- you know, figuring out what you have to pay RIGHT NOW and who can wait because you have a 10 day grace period. UGH!

So that's where my head is today...tomorrow there may be more tears.
BTW- thanks for the supportive comments friends :)

Positives from yesterday:
*Michael waved to me and then said "I said hi to you with my fingers"
*Lately when I ask Michael if he wants something, he says "UM, sore (sure)"
*Liam yells "Monny" at the top of his lungs even when I am sitting next to him...then he laughs. He also likes to call me "Jane"- such a little stinker

From today so far:
*I am meeting a good friend of mine tonight to discuss daycare and for moral support
*Liam and Michael both ran up to me with huge smiles and hugs for me before I went off to some work appointments today- they show me so much love every day!
*Mike, Liam and Michael played their version of hide and seek outside today...lots of laughter.

That does it for now- Happy Friday :)
