So after my worrying last night, Michael fell asleep at a decent hour. I also read some information on bad habits and how to handle them that made me feel a little better about the fingernail/toenail picking thing. I am going to try the advice and then will share in a later post if it seems helpful.
I was breathing a sigh of relief last night and then this morning...
Mike was home and we slept in so when the kids woke up around 8am, he got them out of their respective cribs and brought them into our room. They love to roll around on the bed and snuggle and then run up and down the hallway. They are so cute and lovey in the morning :) Liam was especially cuddly this morning.
We were getting ready to go downstairs and I was sitting on the floor by our bedroom door and Michael came running down the hall and said something like,
"I see that girl down there". He was trying to close our door.
(Mike and I look at each other like "WTF!?")
Me: What girl?
Michael: That girl down there (looking down the hall)
Me: Where is she?
Michael: Right there (pointing down the hall)
Me: What does she look like?
Michael: She's blue
(Mike and I exchange another look- I am trying to decide whether or not to be freaked out and thinking about the phrase "I see dead people")
Mike walks down the hall with Michael and asks again where the girl is. Michael points up at some pictures on the wall. There are 2 5x7 photos in black/white that are 1st Christmas pics for each of them. I guess the pictures looked blue to him? THAT is what Michael was referring to. Mike picked him up and showed him the pictures close up so he could see who they really were. It still freaked me out especially since I thought that Michael would recognize those photos?? I'm not going to dwell on it at this point.
No wonder I have gray hair!

Glad he slept better last night. That nighttime awake stuff has to be exhausting.
We have a clothes stand (old fashioned hat/coat hooks on a pole type thingy) in our bedroom. It usually has a few sweatshirts, pants, etc., hanging from it. Calum has been telling us "there's a GUY in there! Look at that GUY, mommy!" in reference to the close on the stand. It freaked me out at first too. Now we make a joke out of it and he thinks it's funny.
We've been having sleep issues with Hailey as well (she's just a bit older than your son). In reference to his "girl" comment, it must be something about their age because Hailey has started saying things like that. One day she told me something about a girl in her room and when I asked what the girl looked like she said she was red. Sort of freaked me out too, I was thinking like you of the "I see dead people" thing but I just brushed it off and tried to tell myself it must be an imaginary friend sort of thing.
