These services start at birth and typically go up to age 5--at which point your local school district would begin to provide any services your child might need (example: speech therapy). And if your pediatrician tells you to "wait and see"- take it upon yourself to access Early Intervention services. Not to sound like an alarmist but in this case, the only thing I ever hear a parent express regret about is not getting help SOONER. Okay, so that's my public service announcement. Hope it wasn't too preachy!
Now for something a little more fun- PHOTOS and MOVIE SHORTS:

I love that you have to tell us which is which because THEY COULD BE TWINS.
the boys are SO cute- and you sound so "grown up" on those tapes. What'd I miss??
I am AMAZED at the difference PT is making with my Michael. The differences aren't always immediately obvious to me, but I am learning so much from Michael's therapist. I don't even think he has what is considered a significant delay, but I have peace of mind knowing we are doing all we can to support his growth. I feel fortunate to a) know about the services available to us and b) not be afraid to take advantage of them.

The boys are adorable.
MamaK- The "grownup" voice is just an act...LOL
Kelsey- SO glad that you are seeing the benefits of PT for Michael. VERY glad you are taking advantage of services that can really help and at the very least, they can't hurt, right?
