Well, stress-free Saturday was nice but Sunday afternoon brought a little problem- a broken dryer. There are currently 5 loads of laundry waiting to be washed.
I am working on the dryer problem and thanks to Mike's cousin -who owns an appliance store- we may be able to repair it without shelling out too much $. We are also going to be needing a new washer in the not-too-distant future so I am not really into spending the money for a new dryer as well if we can avoid that.
I am especially thankful to live only a couple of miles from my parents at times like this because I had a load of laundry in the washer when the dryer decided to quit--so I was able to take that up to my parents' house and throw it in their dryer. I also figured I would wash one more load and take that up as well. That way, at least we have what we need to get through a few days.
It's always something, isn't it? Granted, this is not earth-shattering but it helps me appreciate what I do have because life without the dryer would be very, er, soggy. Even on a nice day, our yard isn't the most conducive to line-drying clothes.
On the plus side, we had gorgeous weather here today and it was nice to enjoy some outdoor time without the fall chill. Hope you all had a great weekend!!
