Anyway, I was so excited to receive this package because I knew that inside would be a copy of a book I am looking forward to reading...SIGNED by the AUTHOR! I chose a book titled "The Blessings of the Animals" by Katrina Kittle. All of her books sounded great but this one stood out to me.
Now the signed book was cool enough for me but there was MORE! The author also included two fabric bags (perfect for library trips!) and Kelsey included a yummy mix of pretzels, popcorn and cereal (maybe chex or crispix?) coated with what tastes to me like toffee but might be caramel...either way it is DELISH!
But the icing on this already awesome cake has to be....a MIX CD! It includes artists I already know and love (first song by The Corrs-love them) as well as artists I am not familiar with but eager to check out. I love listening to new music so this CD is fantastic.
I can't thank Kelsey enough for not only sending the book but including other cool stuff and a very sweet note card. It was just what I needed since I woke up exhausted after a busy weekend. I have yet to read one word of the book or even pop the CD in...seriously, the past 2 days have been a blur for me.
But now it's (early) Wednesday, time to get my ass back on track. CD will be in rotation later today and I will definitely start the book as well. Book report to follow at a later date.
| Signed by the author who says, "Because blessings are everywhere!" True, indeed. |
Thank you so much Kelsey for brightening my Monday and giving me some much-needed motivation at just the right time :)
One more shot with note card included :)

soooooooooooooooooooo cool! on every level :) Can't wait to hear about the book! Kris
Oh I'm so glad it made you happy! I wish I'd had time to write a better note, but I really wanted to get it into the mail.
The snack stuff is called "Caramel Crunch" so I guess it is caramel? It is brown sugar, butter, Karo syrup, vanilla, and baking soda - what does that make? :-) I call is snack crack - that stuff is addictive!
I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the book when you've finished.
