Lately, I've noticed that lots of people are taking on a snippy/snarky type of tone without necessarily being provoked. Some of these people are family members.
I'm trying really, really hard not to respond in kind.
Some days, it's really, really, really hard not to tell those people where they can go.
Passive aggressive responses can be fun but those responses leave me feeling dissatisfied and immature.
I found these two quotes tonight, while I was simmering about an aggravating situation and struggling to avoid involvement. So far, I've succeeded in keeping my mouth shut. I hope I can continue that!
Anyway, the two quotes are from Richard Carlson (author of Don't Sweat the Small Stuff books)
"Choose to be kind over being right and you'll be right every time"
and
"You are what you practice most"
