If you don't have this book to read to your little one, I recommend it! This was one of our Christmas gifts to the boys last year. I have been wanting to include a brief post about it for a while but it keeps slipping my mind.
I just read this to Michael this evening. And my only complaint about this book is that I have a hard time getting through it without getting teary-eyed and a lump in my throat. I think it is a beautifully written book and it has a sort of spiritual quality to it. Just another way to let your little ones know just how special they are.
If you don't have this and are looking for a new book, I really love this one.
The author is Nancy Tillman.
Any suggestions for me? We always like to include books under our tree.

I'll have to look into "On the Night You Were Born" - thanks!
I like "The Snowy Day" by Ezra Jack Keats. On the "can't get through without crying" front, I love "Bear of My Heart". It's possible it was hormones but I used to cry and cry when I would read that to Alex right after he was born. I just love it. Granted it might be for much younger kids -- no, actually, I think I'll read it to Alex for the next few years at least!
